SHOCK: Westminster Morris abandons church for the pub
In a development that will astonish absolutely nobody familiar with Morris dancing, Westminster Morris has left its church hall rehearsal venue — and moved into a pub.
Yes. A pub.
After years of practising in the respectable surroundings of a church hall, the team has taken the extraordinary decision to hold its Wednesday evening practices upstairs at the Prince of Wales in Pimlico.
Even more alarmingly, some dancers have been seen drinking beer before and after practice.
We appreciate that the idea of Morris dancers associating with public houses may come as a profound shock.

Those wishing to witness this shocking decline in standards for themselves are warmly invited to our FREE taster sessions, every Wednesday from 9 September.
No previous Morris experience is required. No dancing ability is assumed. And purchasing beer is entirely optional.
